Google Ads for Clinics in Bhopal: Judge Spend by Treated Patients

Quick answer

Google Ads work for Bhopal clinics when every treatment gets its own campaign, keywords are grouped by intent, and each ad lands on a matching condition page in Hindi and English. Target Bhopal plus the towns already sending you patients, block searches for government hospitals, jobs and free remedies, and judge the account by cost per treated patient, never by clicks or leads.

At eleven at night, a man in Kolar Road is typing "pathri ka dard" into Google with one hand and holding his side with the other. His wife is typing "kidney stone operation cost Bhopal" on her own phone. Two searches, one patient. Whoever answers both searches clearly, and picks up the phone first thing in the morning, usually gets the case.

Google is the right first paid channel for treatments people search by name: kidney stones, cataract, knee replacement, IVF, hernia. I'll use a urology practice as the example here, but the structure works for any speciality where patients already know what they are looking for.

How should a Bhopal clinic structure its Google Ads account?

One campaign for every treatment, each with its own budget, so you always know what each treatment costs you. Inside each campaign, four ad groups, split by intent.

Ad group Example searches Where the ad sends them
Treatment "kidney stone laser treatment Bhopal" The kidney stone treatment page
Cost "kidney stone operation cost Bhopal", "pathri operation kharcha" The same page, opening with how pricing works
Specialist near me "urologist near MP Nagar", "urologist in Bhopal" The doctor page with the clinic map
Condition "pathri ka ilaj", "kidney stone pain in back" A plain-language page on symptoms and options

Notice the Hindi phrases typed in English letters. Many Bhopal patients search exactly like that, so your keyword list and your landing pages should both reflect it. That is why we build condition pages in Hindi as well as English, and why the ad copy itself can carry a Hindi line.

Start with tight matching, exact and phrase. Broad match without data and negatives burns money on searches you never wanted.

Which searches should a Bhopal clinic block?

Build your negative keyword list before launch, not after. Start with the universal ones, then add the ones a capital city with medical colleges and large public hospitals throws up.

  1. Free and cheap: free, sasta, gharelu nuskhe, home remedy, pictures.
  2. Jobs and study: job, salary, vacancy, course, MBBS, NEET, admission. A city full of students and coaching centres generates a lot of these.
  3. Public hospitals: if you are a private clinic, people searching for OPD timings at a government hospital are rarely looking for your plan.
  4. Schemes you are not on: if you are not empanelled under a government health scheme, block searches for that scheme's card or hospital list, so nobody clicks expecting cashless care you cannot give.
  5. Other cities: if "kidney stone hospital Indore" can trigger your ad, you are paying for the wrong patient.

Then open the search terms report every single week. Add every bad search as a negative and turn every good one into a keyword. This one half-hour habit saves more money than anything clever you can do with bidding.

Where and when should the ads show?

Target the area your patients actually come from. That means a realistic travel radius around the clinic, plus the towns that already send you patients. Look at your CRM before you guess. If you see a steady flow from Sehore, Raisen or Vidisha, add those towns. If you see nobody from Narmadapuram, leave it out for now.

Run ads when someone can answer the phone. A click at midnight that reaches a ringing phone is wasted. If you do run late, make sure an instant WhatsApp reply tells the patient exactly when the clinic will call, and that the call happens first thing.

Also run a small campaign on your own name and the clinic's name, so a competitor cannot sit above you when a family searches for you directly after a GP mentions you.

How do you judge a Google Ads budget in Bhopal?

By cost per treated patient. Not cost per click, and not cost per lead.

Here is an example. Say you spend ₹45,000 in a month on the cost ad group and get 90 leads at ₹500 each. Three start treatment, so each treated patient cost ₹15,000. The treatment ad group also spends ₹45,000, but gets only 45 leads at ₹1,000 each. Nine start treatment, so each treated patient cost ₹5,000.

Now compare with value. Say a stone patient who has the procedure plus a year of prevention follow-ups is worth ₹60,000 to the clinic in the first year. Ten to 20% of that is ₹6,000 to ₹12,000. The "expensive" ad group sits inside that range. The cheap one does not. Move budget towards treated patients, not towards cheap leads.

To do this, count calls, forms and WhatsApp clicks as conversions, and as soon as you can, send back which leads booked and started treatment. Our patient acquisition team sets this up before a rupee is spent.

What does the landing page need?

Every ad goes to the condition page that matches the search, never the homepage. A good page has a headline in the patient's words, who it is for, causes explained simply, every treatment option including non-surgical ones, what happens step by step, honest risks, how pricing works, proof shared with consent, eight to ten questions answered, and a call and WhatsApp button visible without scrolling on a phone.

Two Bhopal additions. If you are on insurance panels, list the insurers on the page, because many salaried families ask about cashless before anything else. And add a short section for patients travelling from outside the city: timings, parking and whether the first visit can be done in one trip. Our websites and search work builds these pages, and our urology page shows how we think about that speciality.

Remember too that Google restricts personalised advertising based on health, so you cannot chase people who visited your kidney stone page. You win on keywords, ads and pages instead.

The short version

  • One campaign per treatment, four ad groups by intent, tight matching at the start.
  • Include Hindi search phrases typed in English letters, and build pages in both languages.
  • Block jobs, courses, public hospital and scheme searches, and other cities, before launch.
  • Target Bhopal plus only the towns your records show, and run ads when someone can answer.
  • Judge every rupee by cost per treated patient. See more on our Bhopal page.

Frequently asked questions

How much budget do I need for Google Ads in Bhopal?

Enough to give each treatment campaign a fair test for at least three months, and no more until it works. Rather than chase a fixed figure, work out what a treated patient is worth in the first year and what you can afford per patient. Start with your one or two highest-value treatments instead of spreading a small budget everywhere.

Should my Google ads in Bhopal be in Hindi or English?

Keywords should include both, because many patients type Hindi words in English letters. Ad copy can mix a Hindi line with English, as long as the landing page continues in the language the patient clicked on. Test both versions and keep whichever brings more treated patients, not just more clicks.

Can I retarget people who visited my clinic website?

Not for health conditions on Google. It restricts personalised advertising based on health, so you cannot follow someone around after they read your kidney stone or IVF page. Put the effort into tight keywords, clear ads that answer the search, and condition pages that make it easy to call or WhatsApp straight away.

Why do my clinic ads get clicks from students and job seekers?

Because broad keywords without negatives match searches like urologist job, physiotherapy course or MBBS admission. Add those words as negatives before launch, tighten your matching to exact and phrase, and review the search terms report every week. Most accounts we take over waste their first rupees exactly here.
