Google Ads for ENT Clinics: Sinus, Tonsil and Hearing Aid Keywords

Quick answer

Google Ads for an ENT clinic work best with separate campaigns for sinus and nasal problems, children's ENT, ear surgery and hearing care, each split into treatment, cost, near-me and symptom searches. Block ear and nose piercing, earphones, courses, jobs, cheap hearing aids online and home remedies before launch. Send every ad to a matching page and judge each campaign by cost per treated patient.

Picture two searches that can quietly drain an ENT clinic's budget: "ear piercing near me" and "nose piercing price". Neither person needs an ENT surgeon. But an ad set to broad match on "ear" and "nose" can show up for both, and every click is paid for. Google Ads can bring an ENT clinic patients within days, but only if the account is built for the way people actually search for ear, nose and throat care. Here is how to build it.

How do you set up campaigns for ear, nose, throat and hearing?

One campaign per treatment area, each with its own budget, so you can see what a sinus patient costs compared with a hearing aid patient. Inside each, split keywords into four ad groups: the treatment, the cost, the specialist near me, and the symptom. Start with exact and phrase match.

Campaign Searching the treatment Asking the cost Looking nearby Describing the symptom
Sinus and nasal sinus surgery, septoplasty, nasal polyp removal sinus surgery cost sinus specialist near me blocked nose for months
Children's ENT tonsil removal, adenoid surgery tonsil operation cost paediatric ENT near me child snoring loudly
Ear ear drum repair, ear surgery for discharge tympanoplasty cost ear specialist near me pus from ear, ear discharge
Hearing hearing test, hearing aid fitting hearing aid price hearing aid centre near me hearing loss in elderly

Symptom searches sit earlier in the journey, so give them less budget than cost and near-me searches. And add a small campaign on your own name and clinic name, so nobody else appears above you when a patient looks you up after a referral.

Which junk searches should an ENT account block first?

ENT is one of the specialities where negative keywords matter most, because so many everyday words overlap with retail and beauty. Build this list before you spend:

  • Piercing and beauty: ear piercing, nose piercing, nose ring, nose job (unless you offer it as a separate service).
  • Electronics: earphones, earbuds, headphones, Bluetooth, speaker.
  • Cheap and second-hand hearing aids: online, second hand, cheapest, app, amplifier, if you only offer audiologist-fitted aids.
  • Batteries and accessories: battery, charger, if you don't sell them.
  • Home fixes: home remedy, ear oil, steam, natural cure, ear cleaning tool.
  • Medicines: nasal spray and ear drop brand names. Google does not let advertisers in India promote prescription medicines, in the ad or on the page it leads to.
  • Careers and courses: job, salary, course, audiology course, internship.
  • Public care: free, government, scheme, unless you offer them.

Then open the search terms report every week and keep cleaning. Every bad search becomes a negative, every good one becomes a keyword.

What should each ENT landing page say?

Never send an ENT ad to the homepage. A campaign without its own page is wasted spend.

The sinus page speaks to someone who has tried sprays and steam for years. It explains what causes long-term blockage, all the options including non-surgical ones, what endoscopic surgery involves step by step, the recovery timeline you give patients, the honest risks, how the package works and how to book.

The children's page is written for parents. What tonsil and adenoid problems look like, when doctors consider surgery and when they don't, what the day of a day-care procedure feels like for a child, school days off, and who the parents call afterwards. Calm, specific and never frightening.

The hearing page leads with the hearing test, because that is the first step. Then the technology levels you offer, the trial and fitting process, the fine-tuning visits and servicing, and EMI. Nothing on any page should promise a result. Google reviews where your ad sends people, so the page follows the same rules as the ad.

Finally, match the schedule to the people searching. Parents often look for children's ENT help in the evening, after work and school. Adult children may research a parent's hearing in short breaks during the working day. If your front desk closes at seven, either extend the hours, set up an instant WhatsApp reply with a morning callback, or shift budget to the hours someone can actually pick up.

How much should a new ENT patient cost on Google?

Aim for a cost per new patient of roughly 10 to 20% of that patient's first-year value, worked out separately for each campaign.

Take hearing as an example. Say a fitted pair of hearing aids with a year of care is ₹90,000. Ten to twenty per cent is ₹9,000 to ₹18,000. Now say the hearing campaign spends ₹60,000 in a month and brings 80 leads at ₹750 each. If 35% book a hearing test, that is 28. If 70% attend, about 20 are tested. If 6 go ahead with a fitting, each cost ₹10,000. That is inside the range.

Sinus surgery works differently. Many patients come for a consultation, are tried on medical treatment first and decide on surgery weeks later. So track leads all the way through in your CRM and give the campaign enough time before you judge it. Log calls, forms and WhatsApp clicks as conversions, and tell Google which leads went on to be treated. Google restricts personalised advertising based on health, so you cannot follow visitors around with remarketing. You win on keywords, pages and speed instead.

Where do ENT clinic Google Ads go wrong?

  1. Broad match on ear, nose and throat words. It buys piercing, earphones and beauty searches.
  2. One campaign for everything. You cannot see that children's ENT is profitable while hearing is leaking.
  3. Ads running at 10 pm when nobody answers. Parents search late. Have an instant WhatsApp reply and a morning callback ready, or schedule ads to front desk hours.
  4. Competing with online hearing aid sellers on price. You will lose. Compete on the test, the audiologist, the fitting and the follow-up.
  5. Judging by cost per lead. A cheap lead who never books is the most expensive one you buy.

Most of the gains in the ENT accounts we take over come from the negative list, one page per treatment and a phone answered within a few rings. If you would like us to look at yours, our patient acquisition team works with ENT clinics, our CRM setup handles the tracking, and you can start with a growth call.

The short version

  • Run separate campaigns for sinus, children's ENT, ear and hearing, with ad groups by intent.
  • Block piercing, earphones, cheap online hearing aids, home remedies and drug names before launch.
  • Give each campaign a page written for the person deciding: the patient, the parent or the adult child.
  • Measure each campaign on what a treated patient costs, against a target of 10 to 20% of first-year value.

Frequently asked questions

What keywords should an ENT doctor bid on in Google Ads?

Bid on treatment, cost and near-me searches first, for example sinus surgery, tonsil operation cost, ENT specialist near me and hearing aid fitting. Add symptom searches like blocked nose for months with a smaller budget. Keep matching tight at the start and review the search terms report every week to refine the list.

Why are my ENT Google Ads getting clicks but no patients?

Check the search terms report first. ENT ads often leak into piercing, earphones, cheap hearing aids and home remedies. Then check the landing page matches the search, that someone answers calls within a few rings, and that you are judging campaigns by treated patients rather than clicks.

Should I advertise hearing aids on Google if online sellers are cheaper?

Yes, but do not compete on price. Lead with what an online seller cannot give: a proper hearing test, an audiologist fitting, fine-tuning visits and follow-up care. Send ads to a hearing page that explains this process, and block searches for cheap, second-hand or online hearing aids.

How long should I run ENT Google Ads before judging them?

Give each campaign at least three months with enough budget to produce real data. Surgical patients, especially for sinus problems, often decide weeks after the first visit, so track every lead through to treatment in your CRM before deciding which campaigns to scale or stop.
